Shaving, Waxing, Epilation, Oh My!
Do you want to know the worst part about crossdressing? Hair!! We both don't have enough of it, and we have way too much of it!!! Too much testosterone and not enough estrogen means we need to tame the jungle on a very regular basis. And unfortunately, not everyone is supportive of a 'guy' without body hair.
I began shaving my chest first. After all, that was socially acceptable. I loved the feeling, how it looked, and how it made me feel. But it wasn't enough. So I also started shaving my pubic region. It was a little odd at first, but I really liked it.
I remember like it was yesterday, the first time I shaved my legs. Until then I had always attempted to cover up my hairy legs by wearing sheer pantyhose under my stockings. Honestly, I was only fooling myself. I remember drawing a nice hot bath. The relaxing soak before I worked up the courage to lather up my leg and shave that first stroke. But I did. It was a short stroke. The razor clogged almost instantly. And so began the first battle of a never-ending war... I rinsed, short stroke, repeat, repeat, repeat. It probably took 2 hours, but when I was done, WOW!!! I never felt so alive! So smooth! So feminine!!
I'll also never forget the feeling of the nylon stockings the first time I rolled them up my freshly-shaved legs. It's a feeling like no other. It was a whole new world!!
Unfortunately the feeling wouldn't last forever. I was still very much self-conscious, and afraid of what people would think of my shaved legs. So I hid them. And thus began my seasonal ritual... I would shave my legs right after Christmas, and leave them smooth until the end of March. And then let them grow out again.
So now I'm keeping my chest, pubic region, upper arms and back hairless. My legs are smooth over the winter. But my eyebrows. My goodness, the eyebrows! I decided one day that they needed to be tamed. So I grabbed my wife's eyebrow waxing kit and went to work. I didn't want anything dramatic or overly feminine-looking, I just needed settle them down into a nice unisex shape. So I did. And nobody commented. Win!
One time we were on vacation, and my sister-in-law took notice of my smooth physique, and told me that I looked good, but that my hairy armpits looked out of place; I should shave them too. So I did. And that was probably the scariest of all!! My wife wasn't happy about that one at first, but she grew accustomed to it quickly.
So all that really left was my legs. Still in reverse hibernation... Smooth in winter, hairy in summer. Then one day I got a comment from another CD. She suggested that I just shave my legs year round. Nobody would notice, and even if they did, they wouldn't care. So with that in mind, I continued to shave, and one day bared my bare legs to the world. And she was right: nobody notices, and nobody cares. Not one comment, not one sideways glance. I'm still a little self-conscious at times, but I have no reason to be.
The last thing to go was the hair on my forearms. Sadly for me my hair is dark & thick, so my arm hair was sticking out like a sore thumb. I tried covering it with long gloves, I tried hiding it by bleaching it. But the reality is that I can't look feminine without removing it. So I've gone to work with wax, an epilator, and shaving.
So now I'm hairless below my eyebrows, and absolutely love it. It's a huge pain to maintain, but it's worth it to me.

For as long as i started growing pubic hair, i've always kept it shaved. Just felt better, and looked better imo. It wasn't until i met my Wife/Mistress that i started shaving anything elso. It was actually all her idea. First was the chest hair, then underarms, and finally legs. i can't even describe how self conscious i was the first summer i bared my smooth legs. But you know what, no one either cares or notices. i LOVE being smooth! And, you're absolutely right, there is no better feeling in the world than sheer nylon on freshly shaved legs!
ReplyDeleteI wish shaving was my wife's idea, it would have saved a few arguments and awkward moments. But we're both accustomed to it now, and she's fully on board with it. :)
